| Using
ultrasounds for cutting and welding is a well-known
method that has been successfully applied for some time in many
different fields, such as the automotive industry, food-processing
and the pharmaceutical, textile and other industries..
This type of processing is carried out using sonotrodes
as fixed tools.
Ultrasonic fabric-cutting systems have been
used for many years by S.M.R.E in its cutting machines, both
for the textile industry in general and for making awnings.
Instead of using sonotrodes of a predefined shape, with which
the welding procedure is discontinuous, as is the case, for
example, with high frequency welding, for thermoplastic
materials and nonwoven fabrics S.M.R.E now offer the
SM.200.SA ULTRASONIC WELDING MACHINE WITH "ROTOSONIC"
TECHNOLOGY . It consists of a special rotating SONOTRODE
with an oscillating roller which enables continuous
welding of the material.
The
sonotrode and the upper roll rotate in a synchronised manner,
so that the material runs properly between them.
The welding parameters are varied on the basis
of the material being processed simply by adjusting the speed,
the distance between the sonotrode and the upper contrast wheel
and the pressure. This innovative system, patented
by S.M.R.E and applied to this very machine, is
a new revolutionary concept of ultrasonic welding not
available on the market until now.
To
sum up, ROTOSONIC is a new, modern, innovative, ecofriendly
and inexpensive technology providing an alternative
to traditional systems.
To meet all our customers’ requirements, the ROTOSONIC
system can also be installed on the automatic mobile-head systems
of the SM-210-SA range. |
|
This system is the result of S.M.R.E.’s
many years of experience in the field of fabric welding
and gluing.
This
revolutionary system combines three types of technology: patented
ROTOSONIC ultrasonic welding technology, patented LIQUID GLUE
technology and HOT-AIR welding. These three systems,
which can be installed on the machine either individually
or together, ensure unbeatable versatility, enabling the machine
to process a limitless range of different materials.
These include the following fabrics for outdoor
use: PVC, synthetic fabrics, screen fabrics, micro-perforated
fabrics, TNT and similar materials.

-
Triple
combined welding head enabling the operator to switch extremely
easily between the “LIQUID GLUE”, “AIR
JET” and “ROTOSONIC” functions to change
from acrylic or polyester fabrics to plastic simply pressing
a button.
-
The
patented “INTELLIGENT TORQUE” fabric transport
system automatically pulls the fabric to its optimum tautness,
adapting automatically to both changing working conditions
and to the type of fabric chosen. It keeps the fabric within
the binding devices with no need for additional conveyors,
simplifying and speeding up positioning of the fabric the
beginning of each cycle.
It minimizes the operator’s work for aligning the
fabric while it is being processed, both for overlapping
and for hemming.
-
Welding
of acrylic fabric at up to 11m/min.
-
DModular
sizes from 6 m to 18 m.
-
Storage
of 50 manufacturing sequences.
-
Adjustable
overlapping of seam, from a minimum of 20mm up to 26mm,
22mm with standard glue.
-
Hems
from 20mm to 50mm on plastic material and from 35mm to 40mm
on fabrics
